Heather Wokusch is a progressive author, and her articles have appeared in publications including The Baltimore Sun, In These Times, Foreign Policy in Focus and Germany’s Süddeutsche Zeitung.
Wokusch’s political awakening came in 1986 when she spent a year doing development work in the Philippines and witnessed the People Power Revolution firsthand. She has been passionate about grassroots political activism ever since.
A former jazz singer, Wokusch has an MA in clinical psychology and more than 20 years of experience in education. She has lived in seven countries and traveled to over 30.
Wokusch is a popular radio guest, appearing on Air America and various national programs. She is an experienced public speaker and often discusses her book series The Progressives' Handbook: Get the Facts and Make a Difference Now while motivating audiences with “armchair activism” tips.
